We're hiring a Coastal Habitat Campaign Coordinator.


The Audubon Society of Lincoln City (ASLC), and


An experienced environmental campaign coordinator for our 2020 Coastal Habitat Campaign. This at-will position is estimated at 20 hours a week and is funded at approximately $18.50 per hour for six months with possibility of increased hours or time extension.

Traveling presentations


Work with our Coastal Habitat Campaign Team to:
  1. Promote greater public awareness of coastal rocky habitat in Lincoln and Tillamook counties by coordinating outreach to the media.
  2. Produce promotional materials such as videos, brochures, and handouts; working with professional writers, designers, and media experts as needed.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to increase decision-makers’ awareness of coastal habitats – and the need to protect them.
  4. Recruit and train volunteers for special campaign projects.
  5. Support coastal habitats educational outreach to students.
  6. Network with other environmental groups and partners.
  7. Reach out to stakeholders and work to engage them in the campaign.
  8. Organize outings such as boat trips, bird trips, hikes, and service projects for public to education.
Gaining public support


Have these experience and/or skills?
  1. coordinating successful grassroots campaigns;
  2. building up awareness of and promoting environmental campaigns;
  3. recruiting and working effectively with volunteers;
  4. strong people skills including speaking, writing, and advocacy; and
  5. commitment to preserving and protecting the natural resources of the Oregon Coast for future generations.
  6. Knowledge of marine environments is desired.

On-site education


  1. Be able to work well with a team and work independently with minimum supervision.
  2. Have a valid Oregon Driver's License and provide own transportation.
  3. Reside in Tillamook or Lincoln County, Oregon, during the campaign.
  4. Provide and cover the cost of your phone and computer services.
